About the Role

Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, a premier private conventional university established in 2005, is seeking a dedicated and scholarly expert to join its Department of Political Science and Public Administration. We are looking for an experienced academic to contribute to our vibrant learning community, fostering both intellectual growth and moral uprightness in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Public Administration at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable local, national, and international journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement for the department.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance to students.
  • Contribute to departmental, college, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Public Administration or a closely related field from a reputable university.
  • Demonstrated evidence of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time teaching, research, and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Active membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
