About the Role
Zamfara State Government invites applications from qualified and dedicated Dental Therapists to join our healthcare workforce. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to oral health promotion and disease prevention across our communities, working within government health facilities to deliver quality dental care services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventive and therapeutic dental care to patients across all age groups
- Conduct oral health education and promotion programs in communities
- Perform dental procedures within scope of practice as a Dental Therapist
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Undertake shift duties and emergency assignments as required
- Collaborate with dental and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Recognised Diploma, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Therapy
- Valid Registration Certificate from the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN)
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)
- Must be an indigene of Zamfara State
- Valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Age between 18 and 40 years
- Medically and physically fit for employment
- No criminal record; not previously dismissed from public service
- Recent passport photograph
- Birth certificate or Declaration of Age
- Local Government Indigene Certificate or Certificate of State of Origin
- Valid NIN Slip/Card
- Academic qualification certificates
- Professional registration certificate
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)
