About the Role
VendorCredit is a leading financial services provider dedicated to supporting supply chain vendors and businesses in their growth and success. We are looking for an analytical, driven, and experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate actionable insights that shape critical business decisions across credit risk, operations, finance, marketing, and customer experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build robust dashboards, monitor key performance indicators, spot emerging market trends, and empower our strategic initiatives with world-class data intelligence.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources to ensure optimal data accuracy and integrity.
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic dashboards, reports, and scorecards to monitor overall business performance and operational metrics.
- Analyze customer behavior, transaction patterns, loan portfolio performance, and repayment trends to deliver actionable strategic insights.
- Partner closely with the Credit Risk team to evaluate default rates, delinquency trends, customer segmentation, and early risk indicators.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support fast decision-making across Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Product departments.
- Automate recurring reporting workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual reporting bottlenecks.
- Develop predictive and descriptive models to support accurate business forecasting, strategic planning, and targeted debt recovery strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within a FinTech, financial services, banking, or fast-paced technology environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL with a strong understanding of relational databases.
- Hands-on experience building visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python or R for advanced data analysis and manipulation.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and API data integrations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Certifications in Data Analytics, or experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, represent a distinct advantage.
