About the Role
Crown Polytechnic, a privately owned tertiary institution located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is recruiting a Darkroom Technician to join our growing technical team. Officially accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to offer National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications since 2008, we are committed to providing world-class facilities and professional training.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and operate darkroom equipment and photographic processing facilities
- Prepare and manage chemical solutions for film development and printing
- Assist students and staff with darkroom procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure proper maintenance of darkroom infrastructure and equipment
- Monitor inventory of photographic materials and supplies
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules
- Provide technical support for photography and cinematography projects
- Uphold strict safety and quality standards in all laboratory operations
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication or related field
- Proven experience in darkroom operations and photographic processing
- Strong knowledge of photographic equipment and chemical handling
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid certification in laboratory safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
