Key Responsibilities- Prepare, verify, and process comprehensive import and export documentation, including shipping manifests, customs declarations, and regulatory permits.
- Liaise effectively with customs agents, port authorities, and government officials to expedite clearance processes.
- Monitor active shipments proactively, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve any documentation or compliance issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with internal logistics and warehouse teams to oversee seamless port-to-warehouse transport and inventory handover.
- Maintain meticulous digital and physical records of all shipment tracking, tariff classifications, clearance expenses, and compliance documents.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience successfully clearing heavy-duty machinery and specialized spare parts through Nigerian ports.
- Extensive practical knowledge of import and export regulations, tariffs, and documentation handling.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills to coordinate with external agencies and internal teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and proficiency in shipment follow-through.
- Prior experience operating as an Import-Export Officer within the heavy machinery or industrial equipment sector is highly advantageous.
