Steps In The Right Direction (Sitrid) is an established 21st-century nursery and primary institution with over a decade of excellence in holistic child development. We are currently seeking a passionate Crop Husbandry and Horticulture Teacher to join our dynamic middle school team and inspire students in grades 7 through 9.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging, interactive lesson plans focusing on crop husbandry, horticulture, and agriculture for Year 7-9 students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and a genuine love for learning.
- Design and implement comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate student understanding, academic progress, and practical skills.
- Integrate modern educational technology seamlessly into daily classroom instruction to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators and school staff to refine the curriculum and share pedagogical best practices.
- Maintain open and professional communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress during parent-teacher meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Science, Biology, or a closely related field.
- Mandatory possession of a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
- Proven previous teaching experience, particularly within middle or junior secondary school levels.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a disciplined yet encouraging learning atmosphere.
