About the Role
U-Connect Human Resources Consulting is looking for a proactive and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing and managing credit risks on investments, loans, and counterparties to support sound decision-making and safeguard our capital. You will leverage your financial expertise to drive strategic insights in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed credit analysis, comprehensive financial modeling, and ratio analysis for various portfolios.
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust credit risk models and portfolio exposures.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and present actionable findings to executive management.
- Track and analyze macroeconomic conditions and evolving Nigerian regulatory trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certifications like FRM, CFA, or ICAN is a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in credit risk analysis, preferably within a banking or investment firm.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel, and data analysis tools, with Python or R being a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk frameworks and local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
