About the Role
Myrtle Management Consultants is seeking a talented and creative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will conceptualize and develop innovative apparel lines, blending commercial awareness with technical expertise to meet our clients' high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Create and visualize design ideas by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Develop mood boards, tech packs, and detailed product specifications for manufacturing and costing.
- Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends, fabrics, shapes, and general market aesthetics.
- Collaborate closely with sales, buying, sample, and production teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and price points.
- Source and select fabrics, trims, fastenings, and embellishments at trade shows and with manufacturers.
- Manage the creation of sample garments, lead fitting sessions, and provide actionable fit improvements.
- Input and manage sales orders, purchase orders, and cut tickets within the ERP system.
- Fashion Design Degree or relevant qualification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Creative Fashion Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong technical skills, including pattern cutting, sewing, and garment technology knowledge.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
