StyledByLayo, a premier womenswear fashion brand known for bespoke, high-end designs that exude confidence, class, and individuality, is seeking a talented Creative Assistant to join our dynamic team in Lagos. Frequently worn by media personalities at high-profile events, our brand delivers exceptional craftsmanship. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented creative professional to support our design and production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Design Team in developing and executing bespoke designs, preparing concepts, mood boards, and pencil or digital sketches.
- Support the Creative Director during client consultations, taking accurate notes on preferences, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to monitor production progress and ensure designs match approved concepts.
- Assist in sourcing and reviewing high-end fabrics, trims, beads, and embellishments.
- Research emerging fashion trends, silhouettes, and color combinations.
- Degree, diploma, or relevant training in Fashion Design, Fashion Production, or Textile Design.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a fashion or design environment, preferably in luxury, couture, or bespoke fashion.
- Proficiency in digital and manual fashion illustration is essential.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and color coordination.
- Proximity to Lekki, Lagos is required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative ability and attention to detail.
