About the Role

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and industrial sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Crane Truck Driver to join our dynamic FMN Infrastructure team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our maintenance and operational activities by safely operating heavy-duty crane trucks for the transportation, lifting, loading, unloading, and placement of critical equipment and materials. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely drive and operate crane trucks to transport equipment and materials to designated work locations across operational sites.
  • Execute truck-mounted crane operations efficiently for lifting, loading, unloading, positioning, and relocating heavy materials.
  • Conduct thorough daily pre-start, operational, and post-operational inspections of the crane truck and associated lifting equipment.
  • Ensure all lifting and transportation activities comply strictly with approved lifting plans, work permits, risk assessments, and safety standards.
  • Operate the crane strictly within approved lifting capacities, load charts, and manufacturer operational limits.
  • Verify that loads are properly secured and that all rigging and lifting accessories are certified and fit for purpose before operations commence.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records of crane operations, safety inspections, maintenance requirements, and equipment defects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of OND, NABTEB, City & Guilds (C&G), WAEC Technical Certificate, or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license appropriate for heavy-duty vehicle operations, alongside relevant crane operation certifications.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in operating crane trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, or industrial lifting equipment within manufacturing, construction, or power generation environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crane truck driving, equipment handling, vehicle inspections, and comprehensive workplace safety protocols.
  • Strong risk assessment abilities, high discipline, personal responsibility, and exceptional attention to detail.
