About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource development firm, is seeking a competent and safety-conscious Crane Operator Class C to join our talent pool for exciting projects across Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in executing heavy lifting operations safely and efficiently within construction, oil and gas, marine, or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre-use checks and operate assigned cranes safely within rated capacities and approved lifting plans.
- Accurately interpret complex load charts, lifting plans, hand signals, and site restrictions.
- Coordinate seamlessly with riggers, banksmen, and site supervisors during all lifting operations.
- Maintain constant awareness of overhead obstructions, exclusion zones, and changing environmental conditions.
- Promptly report any equipment defects, unsafe practices, or abnormal operating conditions to management.
- Maintain accurate operating and inspection records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Relevant degree, HND, OND, trade qualification, or recognized professional certification appropriate for the discipline.
- Valid Class C crane operator certification corresponding to the required equipment class.
- Demonstrated practical experience in lifting operations within industrial, construction, oil and gas, or marine projects.
- Strong knowledge of load charts, rigging signals, and comprehensive lifting safety protocols.
- Robust Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) awareness and a commitment to proper equipment care.
- Ability to obtain role-specific statutory, technical, offshore, or safety certifications as required by clients and site standards.
