We are recruiting a qualified CPLO (Competent Person for Lifting Operations) Officer to support our growing operations in Nigeria. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the energy sector while working with a company that values both local expertise and international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and oversee lifting operations in accordance with industry regulations and safety standards
- Assess and certify lifting equipment and personnel competency
- Develop and implement lifting operation plans and risk assessments
- Provide technical guidance and supervision on lifting procedures
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and compliance records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational safety and efficiency
- Conduct training and competency assessments for lifting personnel
- Valid CPLO certification from a recognized body
- Proven experience in lifting operations within Oil & Gas or similar industries
- Strong understanding of Nigerian and international safety regulations
- Excellent technical knowledge of lifting equipment and procedures
- Certification in relevant health and safety standards (NEBOSH, IOSH preferred)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
