We are seeking a qualified Shutdown Engineer to support our growing portfolio of Oil & Gas clients in Nigeria. As a Shutdown Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing facility shutdowns and maintenance operations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage shutdown schedules, risk assessments, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate comprehensive shutdown operations for oil and gas facilities
- Develop detailed shutdown procedures, timelines, and resource requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols across all shutdown activities
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure seamless execution
- Monitor progress against schedule and manage budget allocations
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Optimize shutdown efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of shutdown planning and execution experience in Oil & Gas sector
- Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations and international industry standards
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Professional certifications (PMP, NEBOSH, or equivalent) preferred
