About the Role

Neveah Limited is a leading commodities trading company established in 2014, specializing in the export of solid minerals and agricultural products with our head office in Abuja, Nigeria. We are currently looking for a diligent Cost Accountant to join our team and oversee financial operations at our aluminum and copper recycling plant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing operational costs, and supporting strategic decision-making across our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze production costs, including raw material procurement, labor, and overhead, preparing detailed variance reports against budgets.
  • Manage inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods while ensuring accurate cost allocation.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and implement effective cost-control measures.
  • Conduct profitability analyses for different production lines and product categories to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage the fixed asset register.
  • Utilize ERP systems for real-time cost tracking and support internal and external audits with precise documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a Cost Accountant within the manufacturing or recycling industry.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting principles, inventory valuation techniques, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with major ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and robust communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
