About the Role
Penafort Energy Limited, a dynamic indigenous company operating within the downstream oil and gas and food and beverage sectors, is seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Cooking Gas Attendant. In this role, you will be the frontline representative of our energy operations, ensuring that customers receive prompt, accurate, and safe LPG dispensing services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence at our station.
Key Responsibilities- Safely dispense cooking gas (LPG) into customers' cylinders using approved dispensing equipment and standard operating procedures.
- Inspect customer cylinders thoroughly for visible damage, leaks, faulty valves, or other safety concerns prior to filling.
- Accurately measure and dispense the requested quantity of gas while ensuring transparent communication of prices to customers.
- Handle cash and digital payments accurately, issue valid receipts, and maintain meticulous records of daily gas sales and stock levels.
- Enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring no smoking or naked flames are permitted near the dispensing and storage areas.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and immediately report equipment faults or gas leaks to management.
- Maintain a clean, orderly workspace and assist customers with safe cylinder handling and transportation tips.
- Minimum of an SSCE, OND, or equivalent vocational qualification in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a gas attendant, pump attendant, or in a similar customer-facing safety-critical role is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of LPG safety measures and emergency response protocols.
