Akiavic Blue Roof Hotel, a charming family-run boutique hotel located in the heart of Ondo City, Ondo State, is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Cook / Chef to join our dedicated hospitality team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests by preparing high-quality, delicious meals that reflect both local and international flavors. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a wide variety of local and continental dishes in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and adherence to safety regulations at all times.
- Manage kitchen inventory, monitor food supplies, and assist with grocery ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
- Collaborate with management to design appealing menus for daily dining, special events, and private functions.
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure strict compliance with health and sanitation standards.
- Handle food production efficiently during peak operating hours while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Proven professional experience working as a Cook, Chef, or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Relevant culinary certifications, training, or formal education in food preparation and hotel management.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety protocols, kitchen equipment handling, and culinary best practices.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
