The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier federal tertiary health institution with a rich history rooted in excellence, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant Specialist Grade I in Preventive Dentistry. Located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, OAUTHC is committed to delivering top-tier healthcare services, conducting cutting-edge medical research, and providing comprehensive clinical training. Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist clinical care and consultations in preventive dentistry to patients at the teaching hospital.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, dental students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary clinical meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
- Conduct high-impact research in preventive dentistry and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of hospital policies regarding oral health promotion and disease prevention.
- Ensure adherence to professional ethics and clinical standards mandated by regulatory bodies.
- Possession of an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent primary medical qualification from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) alongside a current practicing license.
- Evidence of successful completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory NYSC program.
- Must hold a recognized postgraduate medical fellowship qualification such as FMCN, FWACP, FWACS, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency and leadership capabilities suited for a federal tertiary health institution.
- Conditions of service and remuneration packages are highly competitive, aligned with the CONMESS 06 Step 04 salary structure, and comparable to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and federal tertiary health institutions across Nigeria.
