Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) invites qualified and dedicated medical professionals to apply for the position of Consultant Specialist Grade I in Haematology & Blood Transfusion. Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized clinical care and management for patients with haematological disorders and blood transfusion needs.
- Supervise resident doctors, medical officers, and other healthcare personnel within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion department.
- Participate in academic training, clinical meetings, and medical research initiatives within the teaching hospital.
- Ensure the safe and efficient procurement, processing, testing, and distribution of blood and blood products.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance.
- Possession of an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) alongside a current practicing license.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Must hold a recognized postgraduate medical fellowship, such as FMCN, FWACP, or FWACS in Haematology.
