About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Family Medicine to join our dynamic healthcare network in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide comprehensive specialist care across the entire patient pathway, ensuring excellence in diagnosis, management, and patient outcomes across out-patient, in-patient, and referral settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in family medicine, successfully handling complex cases and serving as a senior point of referral.
- Supervise, teach, and support the professional training and development of senior medical officers, medical officers, and trainees.
- Contribute actively to clinical governance, medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-safety activities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care seamlessly with other medical specialties, diagnostic units, pharmacy, nursing, and HMO functions.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and valid MDCN registration.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized medical institution, alongside completed housemanship and NYSC (or valid exemption).
- Post-fellowship specialist experience, equivalent to a minimum of 3 years of recognized consultant-level practice in family medicine.
- Valid registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrable expertise in managing complex acute and chronic presentations independently.
