About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja is a premier 500-bed specialty hospital offering world-class comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, and medical education. Developed by Afreximbank in clinical partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a dedicated Consultant Family Medicine specialist to provide exceptional care to patients across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments for patients presenting with undifferentiated and chronic conditions.
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for acute and chronic disease management.
- Deliver comprehensive preventive health services, including vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness programs.
- Lead multidisciplinary team rounds, mentor junior doctors, and foster a collaborative clinical environment.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with international data privacy and hospital documentation standards.
- Coordinate seamlessly with medical specialists to ensure holistic and continuous patient care.
- Possession of an MBBS or equivalent primary medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice independently in Nigeria.
- Board certification or Fellowship in Family Medicine.
- Demonstrated expertise in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and handling complex comorbidities.
