About the Role
Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty healthcare provider established in 1984, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic medical team. In this pivotal role, you will provide specialist cardiovascular care, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with diverse cardiac conditions, utilizing our state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities to ensure the highest standards of evidence-based medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, history taking, physical examinations, and risk evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease.
- Perform and interpret cardiac investigations including ECG, echocardiography, and Holter monitoring.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and manage acute cardiac emergencies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists and mentor junior medical staff.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and preventive cardiology initiatives.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification with a valid practising licence from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Fellowship in Cardiology or Internal Medicine (FWACP, FMCP, or recognized equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship experience as a Consultant Cardiologist.
- Demonstrable expertise in echocardiography, ECG interpretation, and managing complex cardiac conditions.
