About the Role

Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty private healthcare provider established in 1984, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join our dynamic medical team. In this role, you will deliver world-class anaesthetic, perioperative, and critical care services, ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort for our patients across various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and formulate customized anaesthetic plans.
  • Administer and manage general, regional, and specialized anaesthesia safely.
  • Provide continuous intra-operative monitoring and comprehensive post-operative care.
  • Manage emergency situations, resuscitation protocols, and intensive care support.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with surgical teams, including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior medical doctors and perioperative nursing staff.
  • Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Ensure all anaesthetic equipment is fully functional, safe, and properly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Possess an MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification.
  • Hold a current, valid practicing license and full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Must have attained a Fellowship in Anaesthesia (FMCA or FWACS) or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of three years of post-fellowship experience practicing as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist.
  • Exhibit strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and effective leadership abilities.
  • Proven capacity to manage complex surgical cases and emergencies under pressure.
