About the Role
Scruples Resources is a leading consultancy and human resource solutions provider dedicated to supporting all sectors of the Nigerian economy. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee and optimize day-to-day field operations for assigned crafts and subcontractors on major capital projects. In this vital role, you will act as a key company representative, championing safety, quality control, and seamless project execution across various sites.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and control daily field operations for assigned crafts and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
- Assist in the preparation and review of submittals, RFIs, and RFCs, providing expert recommendations regarding project suitability.
- Review contractor health, safety, traffic control, and erosion control plans to maintain strict compliance standards.
- Verify quantities for accurate contractor payments and maintain transparent administrative records.
- Identify non-conformance issues with construction work and actively assist in developing practical resolutions.
- Serve as the lead company representative at sub-sites where the Construction Site Manager or Site Lead is not permanently stationed.
- Foster strong communications, positive relations, and effective collaboration with all contractors and stakeholders.
- Proven professional experience in field construction planning, execution, and completions on major capital projects.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Construction Superintendent with a strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Construction Materials Testing procedures and relevant ASTM standards.
- Willingness to travel domestically and overseas to various project sites as required.
