About the Role
Scruples Resources is currently recruiting a dynamic and experienced Construction Methods Engineer to support major engineering and infrastructure projects in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in planning and executing complex construction activities by developing robust methodologies, work packs, and execution strategies that optimize safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive construction methodologies, work procedures, and detailed method statements for project activities.
- Evaluate engineering designs for constructability, identifying potential risks, constraints, and interface issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Procurement teams to integrate project requirements and resolve site issues.
- Review contractor-submitted construction methods, schedules, and proposals to ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.
- Participate in HAZID/HAZOP sessions, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and pre-construction planning meetings.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Construction Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant construction or methods engineering experience within the oil and gas, energy, or major infrastructure sector.
- Strong expertise in developing temporary works, lifting plans, installation methodologies, and work packs.
- In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, and HSE regulations including SIMOPS and Permit to Work systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office with excellent technical writing and problem-solving abilities.
