About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic academic support team in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networking equipment, and peripheral devices in the university laboratory.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to students and academic staff during practical lab sessions.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is in optimal working condition and conduct routine preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Manage software installations, updates, security patches, and network connectivity across all laboratory terminals.
- Enforce laboratory safety protocols, usage policies, and maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets.
- Collaborate with faculty members to prepare necessary tools and setups for computer science practicals and examinations.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft Certified Professional will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working as a lab technologist or IT support specialist, preferably within a tertiary education environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with deep knowledge of operating systems, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
