About the Role
CWG Engineering Limited is a wholly employee-owned engineering consulting practice specializing in 3D Laser Scanning, Engineering & Design Services, Manpower Supply, and Project Management throughout Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Compressor Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of our industrial compressor equipment, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our engineering projects and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and control industrial compressor systems and related auxiliary equipment in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct routine pre-start and post-operation checks to ensure optimal performance and safety of all machinery.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks on compressors to prevent unexpected downtime and costly repairs.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow gauges regularly, recording operational data accurately in daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) procedures and protocols on-site.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or operational anomalies immediately to the supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance and engineering teams to support scheduled equipment overhauls and servicing.
- Proven professional experience operating compressors and heavy industrial equipment within the engineering or oil and gas sector.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment safety procedures, hazard identification, and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and operational gauges.
- Good mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field will be an added advantage.
