About the Role
ExCare Services Limited, a leading provider of pharmaceutical, laboratory, and immunisation services, is recruiting a dedicated Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will support our pharmacist in delivering accurate, efficient pharmacy services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the pharmacist in accurately preparing, dispensing, and labelling prescriptions according to established protocols
- Manage medication inventory by receiving, shelving, rotating, and counting stock to ensure proper organisation and expiry date compliance
- Maintain detailed daily sales records and support expense tracking with appropriate documentation and approvals
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries, provide general pharmaceutical information, and direct calls appropriately
- Uphold pharmacy cleanliness, organisation, and compliance standards across all work areas and shelving units
- Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) degree or equivalent certification (mandatory)
- Certificate or Degree in a Science-related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical experience
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within team environments
- Prior pharmacy or pharmaceutical setting experience is advantageous
