About the Role
Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs, particularly those diagnosed with Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our care team in Ikorodu and provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with individual care plans.
- Monitor residents' health status, vital signs, symptoms, and general wellbeing.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records.
- Assist with wound care, feeding support, and other nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
- Identify changes in residents' conditions and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and update individual nursing care plans and maintain confidential clinical documentation.
- Supervise and guide auxiliary nurses and caregivers while promoting infection prevention standards.
- Registered Nurse qualification with a current license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Previous experience in nursing homes, home care, or pediatric long-term care is an advantage.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a patient-centred approach to healthcare.
- Ability to work independently, supervise care staff, and handle shift rotations, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be based in Ikorodu or willing to reside in the accommodation provided by the foundation.
