About the Role
Founded in 1962, the University of Lagos has, for over five decades, provided qualitative and research-oriented education to Nigerians and all those who have entered its domain in search of knowledge. We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Community Engagement Intern to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering relationships between the university and its diverse stakeholders, supporting outreach programs, and helping to amplify our institutional impact across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs, events, and stakeholder meetings.
- Support the communication team in drafting newsletters, social media content, and engagement reports.
- Maintain and update databases of community partners, volunteers, and participants.
- Gather feedback from community members to help improve university programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of engagement campaigns.
- Recent graduate or undergraduate student in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Sociology, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated passion for community development and social impact.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
