About the Role
Restorative Justice for Africa (REJA) is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the justice gap for justice-impacted individuals. Through relentless advocacy, criminal justice reforms, and community empowerment, we promote equal access to justice across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Communications Manager to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to advance REJA’s mission, brand visibility, and public engagement.
- Manage all digital communication channels, including social media platforms, website content, and regular newsletters.
- Draft compelling press releases, advocacy materials, and reports to influence key stakeholders and policy discussions.
- Collaborate closely with program teams to translate complex legal and social justice issues into accessible, engaging messages for diverse audiences.
- Coordinate campaign messaging, media relations, and public events to support organizational partnerships and advocacy goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, supplemented by proven professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, preferably within the NGO, human rights, or social justice sector.
- Exceptional content creation skills, with the ability to write, edit, and tell powerful stories for digital and print media.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media management, and basic multimedia or design software like Canva.
- Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, and organizational skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
