About the Role

Brint School is an innovative online learning platform dedicated to creating personalized educational experiences for African children in the diaspora. Our team of talented educators works collaboratively to enhance each student's knowledge and proficiency across various subjects. We are currently seeking a passionate and patient Coding Tutor to guide young learners through essential programming concepts and practical software development skills in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach foundational programming concepts and technical skills in an engaging, age-appropriate manner.
  • Guide students through hands-on coding exercises, assignments, and real-world projects.
  • Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual learner needs, skill levels, and goals.
  • Instruct students in languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, or Scratch.
  • Assist learners with debugging code, troubleshooting errors, and building critical problem-solving abilities.
  • Monitor student progress, evaluate performance, and deliver constructive, encouraging feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and teaching excellence during all virtual classes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language with practical development experience.
  • Prior online teaching or tutoring experience, particularly with children and young adults, is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, accessible terms.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patience-driven teaching skills.
  • Access to a reliable computer, stable high-speed internet connection, and a distraction-free remote workspace.
