About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CNG Truck Driver to manage the inbound logistics of raw materials for our cement manufacturing operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty CNG-powered trucks, ensuring timely delivery of materials while strictly adhering to environmental, traffic, and plant safety standards across our Nigerian network.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport raw materials to designated plant areas while adhering to all Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) regulations and speed limits.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the CNG fuel system, engine, tires, and truck body, reporting mechanical faults immediately.
- Implement defensive driving and eco-driving techniques, such as smooth acceleration and engine braking, to maximize CNG efficiency and minimize emissions.
- Safely connect, monitor, and disconnect high-pressure CNG fueling lines while performing standard safety checks on fuel cylinders and valves.
- Maintain strict adherence to scheduled Turnaround Times (TAT) to maximize daily trips while complying with legal axle weight limits.
- Minimum of an SSCE Certificate from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nigerian Class G Heavy Truck Driver’s License with a clean driving record and no major accident history.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience driving heavy-duty articulated trucks within the Nigerian cement, mining, or manufacturing sector.
