About the Role
We are recruiting a highly skilled Clinical Perfusionist to join our healthcare staffing network. As a Clinical Perfusionist, you will be responsible for operating and managing advanced cardiopulmonary bypass and extracorporeal circulation systems during critical cardiac and related surgical procedures. This role is essential to surgical success, requiring precision, expertise, and unwavering attention to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and manage heart-lung machines during cardiac surgeries with precision and expertise
- Monitor and maintain patients' circulation, oxygenation, and temperature throughout procedures
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain all perfusion equipment to the highest clinical standards
- Administer blood products and medications according to clinical protocols and surgeon directives
- Collaborate effectively with cardiac surgeons, anesthetists, operating room nurses, and support staff
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records and procedure documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Perfusion, Perfusion Science, or equivalent professional qualification
- Current and valid professional certification/licensing in perfusion practice
- Proven experience as a Clinical Perfusionist in a hospital or cardiac surgical centre
- Advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass principles and extracorporeal circulation management
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated teamwork capability
- Strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence
