About the Role
South Kitchen & Lounge is a premier Nigerian food, drinks, and hospitality brand with popular locations in Abeokuta and Ibadan. We specialize in authentic Nigerian cuisines, continental dishes, signature cocktails, and mocktails, providing our guests with a relaxed dining and entertainment experience. We are currently looking for a meticulous and reliable Cleaner to join our dedicated facilities team and uphold our high standards of sanitation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of the dining area, lounge, bar, and kitchen spaces.
- Maintain pristine restrooms, ensuring they are consistently stocked with necessary supplies throughout operating hours.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, and wipe down tables, chairs, and other customer-facing surfaces.
- Properly dispose of all waste materials and manage refuse collection areas according to health and safety regulations.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors regularly to maintain a clear and polished appearance.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines set by the establishment.
- Proven professional experience working as a cleaner, custodian, or in a similar housekeeping role, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper equipment handling, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Relevant educational qualifications or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
