About the Role
Cutting-Edge International Academy, a premier private educational institution located at GESSE Phase II, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Classroom Teacher for Primary 1-6. The successful applicant will provide exceptional age-appropriate teaching, dynamic classroom leadership, accurate pupil assessment, and maintain constructive communication with parents to foster holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes and schemes of work before every lesson and submit them weekly to the HOD for review.
- Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that uphold high academic and safeguarding standards.
- Administer, mark, and record continuous assessment scores strictly by stated deadlines.
- Identify struggling students proactively and provide targeted extra support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, school activities, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training sessions.
- Possession of an NCE, B.Ed., or a relevant degree from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory TRCN registration or a strong willingness to register immediately upon employment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a good command of English and Arabic languages.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous teaching experience in a recognized primary school setting.
- Familiarity with the NERDC curriculum and solid computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated strong classroom management skills and evidence of recent professional development.
