About the Role
Irisfield Montessori School is an approved child-centred Montessori and primary education learning centre located in a serene residential community within Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Established in October 2014, the school caters to children from early years, starting from toddlers of 12 months, all the way up to Grade 6 at 11 years of age. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our teachers in delivering exceptional early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities- Assist lead teachers in preparing classroom materials and setting up engaging learning activities for students.
- Provide attentive care and supervision to toddlers and primary school students to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support individual students with their daily tasks, fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment that aligns with Montessori principles.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, fellow teachers, and management staff.
- Must be a graduate from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and available for the full academic term.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with students, teachers, and teams.
- Genuine passion for child development, education, and working with young learners.
- A patient, empathetic, and collaborative personality.
- Receive specialized professional training to become a certified SEN (Special Educational Needs) tutor.
- Gain valuable hands-on experience in an established Montessori and primary school setting.
- Work in a serene, supportive, and professional community environment in Port Harcourt.
