About the Role

Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, a leading brand in the Nigerian insurance industry with a strong and well-capitalized presence, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Claims Manager to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end claims administration, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a dedicated team of professionals to deliver exceptional service to our valued stakeholders across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register motor and non-motor claims accurately and promptly within the system.
  • Assess and allocate reserves effectively on the claims management system (IMS/TQ).
  • Coordinate claims adjustment, including appointing qualified engineers and investigators.
  • Engage clients professionally on claim-related inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Prepare approval sheets, competitive settlement offers, and discharge vouchers.
  • Liaise with internal departments on claims processing and adjusters' payments.
  • Monitor adjustment costs and maintain accurate, audit-ready claims records (IMS/EDMS).
  • Ensure strict adherence to approved claims processes and guide team members.
  • Review Outstanding Claims Reserve for quarterly reporting and conduct staff appraisals.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc or BA in Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • CIIN or relevant professional insurance certification is strongly preferred.
  • 6 to 9 years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years focused specifically on claims administration within the insurance industry.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of TQ/GIS software.
  • Exceptional knowledge of insurance claims processes, regulatory requirements, leadership capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
