About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Civil Manager - BIP to oversee critical agricultural development and infrastructure projects at DSR Numan. In this vital role, you will spearhead the development and construction of major Bulk Water Supply (BWS) projects and related infield works, driving operational excellence and contributing to national food security and local manufacturing capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Take overall responsibility for the development and construction of major Bulk Water Supply (BWS) projects and related infield works.
- Manage appointed contractors to ensure strict compliance with schedules, method statements, QA/QC requirements, and the BWS Master Schedule.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential contractors and evaluate their suitability against required standards.
- Facilitate pre-construction planning sessions, site meetings, and formal project inspections.
- Maintain and update the project Master Program and schedules using MS Project.
- Review contractors quantities and measurements to ensure accurate approval of progressive payments.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, statutory, regulatory, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of sixteen (16) years of continuous experience in agricultural irrigation construction projects.
- Vast hands-on experience in the construction of agricultural irrigation systems and Bulk Water Supply infrastructure.
- Professional certifications in Irrigation Infrastructure Design Project Management and Construction Management are a distinct advantage.
