About the Role
Horatio Limited has extensive experience in commercial real estate, banking and financial sector, high-end luxury housing, hospitals, industrial warehouses and factories, retail shopping malls, and Grade A office developments. We are currently looking for a talented and driven Civil Engineer to join our expanding team in Nigeria and contribute to our portfolio of iconic infrastructure and building projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure seamless site execution.
- Prepare accurate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for various construction phases.
- Monitor site operations closely to guarantee strict adherence to engineering designs, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, architects, and project managers to resolve site queries and technical bottlenecks.
- Prepare regular progress reports, documentation, and manage technical records for ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Nigerian building codes, environmental laws, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or active affiliation with relevant bodies such as COREN is an added advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of cognate experience within the construction, oil and gas, or marine engineering sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in reading complex engineering drawings, preparing MTOs, and handling BBS documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
