About the Role

MG Vowgas Limited is a wholly Nigerian indigenous engineering and construction company dedicated to advancing local content in the oil and gas sector. Since our inception in 2006, we have built a reputation for excellence across building, civil, and mechanical engineering works. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to our expanding portfolio of landmark industrial projects in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee civil and structural engineering activities from project initiation to completion.
  • Prepare, review, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
  • Ensure all civil construction works comply with approved designs, industry codes, international standards, and HSE regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, site conditions, and quality control measures to maintain strict adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare technical reports, material estimates, and documentation for ongoing civil works.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC, EPCIC, or heavy construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, or Navisworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Active membership or pending registration with relevant professional bodies such as COREN, NSE, or ICE is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
