About the Role
The Muslim Community Centre (MCC) is inviting qualified educators to join Fou'ad Lababidi Islamic Academy (FLIA), a comprehensive secondary school established in 1995. FLIA blends rigorous Western education with strong Islamic principles, preparing students for university-level Science and Humanities courses. Our institution boasts modern facilities including fully equipped laboratories, computer centres, and e-learning platforms, complemented by a dedicated team of qualified educators. We are seeking passionate Civic Education Teachers to contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in Islamic and Western education while fostering moral rectitude among our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging civic education lessons aligned with national curriculum standards
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans covering citizenship, governance, and democratic principles
- Assess student progress through assignments, examinations, and continuous evaluation
- Foster critical thinking and civic consciousness among students
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Islamic values with civic education content
- Maintain accurate records and participate in staff development activities
- Contribute to school programmes and extracurricular activities
- Bachelor's Degree or NCE in Civic Education, Social Studies, or related field
- Mandatory computer literacy and digital teaching competency
- Valid Teachers Registration Council (TRC) certificate (advantageous)
- Proven teaching experience (advantageous)
