Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and interactive Civic Education lessons to secondary school students in accordance with the Nigerian educational curriculum.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment tools to evaluate student progress effectively.
- Encourage critical thinking and discussions on current affairs, human rights, government structures, and societal values.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes active student participation.
- Monitor and record academic performance, providing constructive feedback to students and parents during consultations.
- Participate in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc with PGDE, or equivalent relevant qualification in Political Science, Education, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience handling Civic Education at the secondary school level.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and educational standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Strong moral character, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development and nation-building.
- Residency around Ilasamaja, Mushin, or easily accessible areas in Lagos is an added advantage.
