Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and well-structured lessons in Civic Education and Christian Religious Studies in accordance with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and formative assessments to track student academic progress and understanding.
  • Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and morally upright classroom environment that aligns with the core Christian values of the institution.
  • Evaluate and grade student assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous academic improvement.
  • Participate actively in school co-curricular activities, chapel services, moral instruction programs, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and report student progress periodically to school administration and parents.
  • Mentor and counsel students, offering guidance on civic responsibilities, ethical behavior, and spiritual growth.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.Sc.) with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in relevant fields such as Christian Religious Studies, Civic Education, or Political Science.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of cognate teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a strong passion for teaching young adults.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Christian values, high moral standards, and the ability to act as a positive role model for students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and proficiency in utilizing modern teaching aids and educational technology.
