Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software applications and enterprise systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate programming staff within the university's ICT unit.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify software needs and deliver tailored digital solutions.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and optimal performance of all institutional databases and applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all software development lifecycles and system architectures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing legacy systems to align with modern technological standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal guidelines and university policies regarding data privacy and ICT governance.
- A good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field, not below Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized university, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification cognate experience in professional programming and software engineering.
- Mandatory possession of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption letter.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale software development projects and managing technical teams.
