About the Role
The Havana Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team in Nigeria. In this senior role, you will drive operational excellence, translate strategic priorities into effective execution, and ensure our businesses, teams, systems, and processes operate with clarity, accountability, and consistency to support our continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and company-wide initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across the Group, establishing clear operational standards, processes, workflows, and accountability structures.
- Provide leadership and direction to department heads, fostering a high-performance culture and driving talent development.
- Partner with Finance to monitor operational budgets, costs, revenue performance, and resource allocation to improve profitability.
- Evaluate business processes, implement technology and automation, and establish robust operational controls and governance.
- Support the Group's expansion into new markets, products, and strategic business opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced qualification is an advantage.
- 8+ years of progressive management experience, including significant tenure in senior operational or executive roles.
- Proven expertise in scaling organizations, managing multi-department operations, and implementing structural processes.
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of P&L management, revenue drivers, and cost optimization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
