About the Role
SmartCity Resorts Plc, an investment and infrastructure pioneer incorporated in 2002, is dedicated to creating modern real estate and technology projects that redefine how Nigerians live, work, and relax. Through landmark public-private partnerships like the SmartCity Innovation Hub in collaboration with NITDA, we are driving technological advancement and national development. We are seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead our financial operations, capital management, and long-term growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee liquidity, working capital, fundraising, banking relationships, and capital structure optimisation.
- Ensure accurate IFRS-compliant reporting, robust internal controls, budgeting, audits, and financial governance.
- Lead financial planning, investment analysis, due diligence, valuations, capital allocation, and financial advisory on strategic transactions.
- Manage financial risk, tax planning, regulatory compliance, insurance, and asset protection.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team while maintaining strong relationships with investors, lenders, and the Board of Directors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Mandatory possession of ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Proven background in real estate investment, private equity, hospitality, or infrastructure finance.
- Expertise in IFRS, financial modelling, capital markets, and dealing with DFIs or international investors.
