About the Role
GMT Securities & Asset Management Limited, a leading SEC-registered investment advisory and stockbroking firm in Nigeria, is seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this executive leadership role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with the executive team to drive the company's long-term financial growth and stability in the dynamic Nigerian financial market.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all aspects of the company's financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, including SEC guidelines, tax laws, and international financial reporting standards.
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies to optimize capital allocation, enhance profitability, and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, external auditors, commercial banks, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financial insights and data-driven recommendations to the Board of Directors to support business expansion initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and elevate the internal finance and accounting team to achieve operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA (ICAN) or ANAN is mandatory.
- Possession of an MBA, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) certification, or other relevant postgraduate qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated executive-level experience in financial management within the Nigerian financial services or capital markets sector.
