About the Role
Rekopel Resources Ltd, a fast-growing and renowned hospitality outfit with branches in major Nigerian cities including Abuja, is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Festac, Lagos. Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts and supervise daily revenue ledgers.
- Prepare schedules for all statutory dues and ensure prompt remittance.
- Collaborate with management and internal audit to formulate, review, and recommend internal control procedures.
- Ensure all expenditures strictly adhere to budgetary limits and obtain proper approvals.
- Oversee monthly stock-taking, stock reconciliation, and inventory management procedures.
- Prepare and supervise monthly bank reconciliation statements alongside other account officers.
- Liaise with procurement and stores for creditor payment schedules, and with the front desk for receivables computation.
- Coordinate and supervise a large team of accounts staff and cashiers effectively.
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Accounting; ICAN AAT or relevant professional certifications required (Advanced ICAN stage is an added advantage).
- At least 7 years of cognate accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar position within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and at least one recognized accounting software.
- Strictly open to candidates residing in Lagos, preferably within close proximity to Festac.
