About the Role
Prodigy Microfinance Bank was founded in 2023 with a mission to help people achieve their financial goals through fair and affordable financial services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Finance Officer to manage our financial activities, lead strategic growth initiatives, and oversee reporting processes. The ideal candidate must be currently working within the banking or financial services sector, bringing deep expertise in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making to our executive team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the annual budgeting process, deliver monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts, and develop long-term financial plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, enhancing internal reporting processes to present actionable insights to the executive team.
- Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify lucrative opportunities for business expansion and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure strict compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls and comprehensive risk management frameworks.
- Oversee accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.
- Monitor liquidity, optimize company capital, and manage investment strategies to ensure robust cash flow management.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must possess relevant professional certification including ICAN or ACCA.
- Minimum of 6 continuous years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial position within a banking or financial institution.
- Must be currently employed within the financial or banking sector in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and BankOne accounting software.
- Possession of a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is an added advantage.
