About the Role

Afrihood Development Company is the trusted real estate solution provider changing the face of Africa one building at a time. We are seeking an exceptional executive to serve as CEO for Afrihood Nigeria and join our Board as an Executive Director. The Country CEO acts as the Board’s principal executor, converting approved strategies and resolutions into completed, evidenced results while driving national business leadership, origination, institutional finance, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Afrihood’s Nigerian operating company and take full responsibility for national business performance and execution of Board-approved strategies.
  • Drive land and development origination, identifying commercially viable areas and building a properly sequenced national project pipeline.
  • Own the lender and investor process, preparing projects for institutional capital, leading diligence, negotiating terms, and securing drawdowns.
  • Source, develop, and hold Area CEOs accountable for commercial performance, customer outcomes, and operational compliance.
  • Manage the Nigerian commercial system, including portfolio-level pricing, sales, marketing, and demand strategy.
  • Ensure strict adherence to governance frameworks, working closely with the Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Directors.

Qualifications
  • Substantial senior executive experience in real estate, infrastructure, project finance, investment banking, or capital-intensive sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in originating and evaluating land, development, or joint-venture opportunities with deep knowledge of development economics.
  • Personal experience leading major financing transactions through diligence, negotiation, conditions precedent, signing, and drawdown.
  • Strong background in working with Boards, managing delegated authorities, and recruiting senior executives.
  • A strong first degree is required; an MBA or relevant postgraduate and professional qualifications would be highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high integrity and sound business judgment.
